You've just entered the web site of one of drag racing's most awesome Pro Modified race cars-Raging Eagle Racing's 2004 Pontiac Grand Am.  With 2500 plus Alan Johnson horse power force fed by a Kobelco super charger, the Skinny Kid Race Cars built, LaFontaine Automotive Group, Ron's Graphics Inc., Stathakis Building Maintenance, Davis Technologies, and Outlaw Photo, sponsored Grand Am covers the 1320 at speeds over 220 mph with E.T.'s in the low 6 second zone.

It is with great pleasure and pride that I can announce that the LaFontaine Family has choosen the Raging Eagle Racing Team to represent their company in a marketing venture.  I am so pleased that they felt our program is worth the investment.  I cannot express how honored and fortunate we are to represent such a prestigious company. The LaFontaine Automotive Group, also known as the Family Deal, features 14 franchises including Buick, Pontiac, GMC Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Scion, Suzuki and Kia; not to mention an available Pre-Owned inventory of 500 plus domestic and imported vehicles, located throughout their dealerships in Highland, Dearborn, Dexter and Saline, Michigan.

The LaFontaine Family's new dealership, known as the Green Store, opened on June 2, 2008.  The 63,000  square foot facility sets on 24 acres on Highland Road (M-59) just west of Hickory, and is home to Buick, Pontiac, GMC and Cadillac.  The $15 million dollar facility is the first GM dealership in the country to qualify for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification under the Green Building Rating System, which is a nationally accepted benchmark for design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.  And it's also beautiful.  I urge you to stop by and see one of the nicest dealerships in the country.

The Raging Eagle Racing Team's  primary focus will be promoting GM Performance Parts  as well as their huge parts department which is located in Livonia, Michigan inside a 62,000 square foot facility, with a parts inventory of 1.8 million dollars.  I encourage all of the collision and mechanical repair facilities to call LaFontaine's parts department @800-883-4627 for all of your parts needs.  Their service is the best with all knowledgeable (and seasoned) people taking your orders and delivering your parts.  How nice would it be to only have to deal with one place for all the car lines you repair.  And for those of you whom automatically pick up the Summit or Jegs catalog, call Karrie Bradley direct @2482401670 for all your GM Performance Parts needs.  LaFontaine is offering all GM Performance Parts for 10% over dealer cost, engines 3% over dealer cost and they will save you $$$$ when you call them instead of Jegs or Summit.

The 2009 season was hugely successful for Bill and Marsha and a seasoned Raging Eagle Racing team.  It was one of those rare years in racing where everything went as it should, thanks to a veteran crew, a relentless crew chief, a good driver and a great race car.  The Raging Eagle Racing Team compiled a round win percentage of 84%, dominating the competition with unbelievable consistency and a very fast race car.  The result was the team's first Pro Modified championship.

The team began the season welcoming Stathakis Building Maintenance as an associate sponsor.  I met George Stathakis three years ago while searching for a company to paint our shopping center.  His references are quite impressive and so was the finished product, very tastefully done, increasing our building's visibility and our clients business.  Stathakis boasts "complete building maintenance" geared toward large commercial businesses with a long list of satisfied  residential customers.  The company is one of a handful of companies in Michigan (#10) "certified professional" by Painting and Decorating Contractors of America.  We are thrilled to have them aboard.

The Raging Eagle Racing Team actually began it's season at Milan Dragway behind in the points race, missing the first event of the year due to weather conditions which were more conducive for a snowmobile race.  The weather for the second event, June 5th, was perfect and so was the team.  We qualified in the number 1 spot, finished the event with a win, and recorded a personal best in speed of 219 mph.  The win propelled the team into second place in the points lead trailing Keith Jackson by one point.  The next event was a month later and the weather once again was spectacular attracting almost ten thousand people to Milan Dragway.  We qualified in the number 2 position behind former champ Brian Robbins and the Skinny Kid Race Cars owned Hurst Olds.  We met in the finals at 12:30 am, (3.5 hours past my bedtime) and were handed our first of only two round losses of the year.  I was surprised to see that most of the spectators stayed to watch the finals.  Although losing the final round, the Raging Eagle Racing Team left Milan Dragway the next morning, leading the points race for the championship.

The next outing was at Norwalk for some 1/8th mile racing.  We qualified in the 8th position with a damaged engine head gasket which forced us out of the race.  With the head gasket repaired and renewed horsepower, we returned to Milan July 31st, which is quickly becoming our favorite track.  We qualified #2 again, and won the next two rounds before facing Todd Robertson's Aeroquip sponsored Pro Mod Stratus.  With Todd getting lane choice and knowing I can't see the tree from the left lane (which is now corrected-thank you Milan Dragway) I was put in the left lane.  All I could do was leave when I saw his car leave.  We out ran the Mopar, but ran out of race track before we caught Todd, losing our second round of the year by .016 of a second.

September 4th we were back at our favorite track.  My personal goal was to redeem myself as a driver after suffering a rare holeshot loss in the final round a month ago.  The team was very focused and anxious for a final round win.  Once again, spectators packed the Milan Dragway bleachers and again we qualified in the number 2 spot.  Following a first round win we were all surprised when Todd Robertson congratulated us for winning the Napa Auto Parts Championship.  We had acquired enough points which mathematically eliminated the other teams.  Although pleased about the championship the team remained focused into the finals and emerged champions with it's second event win.  After two attempts, the sixth and final race of Milan Dragway's Napa Auto Parts RWYB series was cancelled due to rain.

I must thank Bro and Sis-in-law, Larry and Carol, for attending every event this year, preparing lunch and dinner, and staying until the end-sometimes almost 2:00 in the morning.  I also want to thank Don and Scott from LaFontaine Automotive Group for attending every race and encouraging their fellow workers to come out and watch.  I think the folks at LaFontaine really enjoyed the races and Milan Dragway's hospitality.  Thank you Chris Baxter.

The 2010 racing season seems a long way off, however the race car's engine has already been rebuilt along with the converter drive unit, and torque converter.  All that remains is the transmission and we will be ready to race.  Crew Chief, Paul Baird, has been busy analyzing data and plotting next years course for making the race car faster while remaining consistent.

The entire team will be back and is looking forward to another successful year. Paul Baird will be handling crew chief duties as well as data analysis, fuel system tuning and suspension diagnosis.  Ron Siedlak, owner of Ron's Graphics Inc., will be wrenching, brother Paul will be prepping the race car, and Paul's wife, Dyan, will again be in charge of sales and posting data.  Most importantly, Marsha will be back again packing parachutes, prepping and maintaining radios and driver's equipment, readying Bill for racing, belting him into the race car, managing staging lane operations and directing the driver back after the burnout.

The tentative schedule for the 2010 season includes competing in two Heads Up racing programs at Milan Dragway in Milan Michigan, and at Norwalk's (Summit) Raceway park in Norwalk Ohio.  We will begin testing as weather permits, hopefully early in May, before embarking on our season.

The Raging Eagle Racing team would like to thank our major sponsor's owner, Ron Siedlak, (Ron's Graphics Inc.) for his loyal help and support, as well as our associate sponsors:  Stathakis Building Maintenance, Leaf Racewear, Exotic Coatings and Outlaw Photo
